These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Live Metal Bulk Price Updater Shopify application ("App" or "Service") provided by KLYX ("we", "us", "our"). By installing the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and KLYX.
2. Description of Service
Live Metal Bulk Price Updater is a Shopify application that provides:
- Automated pricing — calculates product variant prices based on real-time or manually-entered metal and diamond costs.
- Bulk price updates — pushes calculated prices to your Shopify store via GraphQL bulk mutations.
- Volatility smoothing — applies a 7-day moving average to prevent sudden large price changes.
- Price history — maintains an audit log of all price changes pushed to your store.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Accurate metafield data: Ensuring that product variant metafields (
custom.diamond_ct, custom.metal_weight, custom.purity, custom.metal_type) contain correct and up-to-date values.
- Reviewing prices before sync: Reviewing the price preview before confirming a bulk sync, especially when not using Auto-Approve mode.
- Compliance with Shopify ToS: Using the App in a manner consistent with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement and Merchant Terms of Service.
- Account security: Maintaining the security of your Shopify store credentials.
4. Pricing and Payment
- All billing is handled through Shopify's billing system. We do not directly collect or store payment information.
- Plans are month-to-month — you can cancel at any time from your Shopify admin billing page.
- Pro-rated upgrades: Upgrading from Standard to Premium takes effect immediately and is pro-rated based on the remaining days in your billing cycle.
- A 7-day free trial is included for all new installations. No credit card is required to start the trial.
5. Limitation of Liability
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
- KLYX is not liable for incorrect prices that result from inaccurate or missing metafield data on your product variants.
- KLYX is not liable for any loss of revenue, profit, or business arising from price calculation errors, service outages, or incorrect metal price data from third-party APIs.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving price changes before they are pushed to your live store.
- Our total liability to you in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 30 days.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described therein.
7. Service Availability
We target 99.9% uptime for the App but do not provide a guaranteed Service Level Agreement (SLA). Maintenance windows and third-party outages (Shopify, Vercel, Neon, etc.) may occasionally affect availability. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime or service interruptions.
8. Termination
- By you: Uninstall the App at any time from Shopify Admin → Apps. All your data will be deleted within 48 hours per our Privacy Policy.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive use, or cause harm to other users or our systems.
9. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or via an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
