A returning customer who wants to buy the same thing again usually has to navigate the full catalog again, same as a stranger would. A visible "buy again" surface on account pages or order confirmation emails removes a step that first-timers don't even know they're skipping.
Saved addresses, saved payment methods, and remembered preferences (size, color) should actually persist and surface proactively — not just exist in account settings waiting to be found. The experience should visibly acknowledge "we know you" rather than treating every visit as session zero.
A simple, honest "you've ordered with us 4 times" or order-history-based perks beats a complicated points system most customers never fully understand or use. Simpler recognition tends to outperform complex gamification for actual repeat behavior.
