Each app solves a real problem at the moment it's installed, but nobody revisits the decision later — so the store accumulates apps the way a garage accumulates tools, each individually justified, collectively a mess that slows the site down and costs real monthly money.
Beyond the obvious monthly subscription costs, each app adds JavaScript that slows page load, increases the surface area for conflicts between apps, and adds another vendor with access to store data — a real but easy-to-ignore security and performance tax.
List every installed app with its monthly cost and the specific metric it's supposed to move, then check whether that metric actually moved since installation. Apps that can't point to a measurable outcome are the first candidates to cut, regardless of how reasonable they sounded at install time.
