Teams building with AI daily tend to underestimate how much skepticism exists among the people they're building for. A chatbot or AI feature that feels like an obvious improvement internally can land as "another thing being automated at me" externally.
Clearly labeling AI-generated content, AI-assisted support, or automated decision-making tends to build more trust than hiding it — even though it feels counterintuitive. People forgive "this is AI" much more readily than discovering it wasn't disclosed.
Customer-facing AI features should have an obvious, easy human fallback, and should be introduced with real explanation of what changed, not silently swapped in. The trust gap closes faster with transparency than with better model performance alone.
